Problem with 2006 22Ve Riders Edition

I have a 2006 22Ve with around 40 hours on it. Recently while we are pulling someone, the boat simply hesitates, then goes again. This is not when we are taking off, this is when we have been going for a few minutes at least. Any suggestions? Previously our V drive was 1/2 a quart low on fluid.

Are you sure you have good clean fuel? No water or anything?

Are you running Speed set or Perfect pass at the time it hesitates?

Not using Perfect Pass or anything like that. As for water in the gas, I am not positive. It only seemed to do it when we were pulling someone, but it happened at least 5 times in a 2 hours.

are you sure you are not feeling the pull from the rider?
If you have a big person back there or one who can cut hard, you will fell them.....if it is only when someone is behind the boat?

          is it over heating?

if you have a 22Ve with the tranny cooler, it might be getting clogged if you do not have a water strainer. (i'm assuming since you are in austin, you're either on lake austin or travis? there is lots of trash getting sucked up in our 22Ve from lake austin, we're getting a strainer added this week.)

When it over heats it will try and die, sometimes it will cut off, sometimes it will remain running if you put it in nuetral quick enough.

I'd call the Ski Dock and have them fix it. I know on these types of issues, you can get them to go out with you to demonstrate the problem. Once they see what's happening, they're pretty good about fixing it.
