Ditto on the congratulations!!! I think you will be very happy with your new Ve...the other nice thing about the Ve is the extra interior room...you get a foot more room in the boat which makes it feel pretty spacious... Congrats again!!! What part of the country do you live in and where do you boat?

I live in Central Virginia. We boat in the Mattaponi and Pamunkey Rivers near West Point Virginia.

Sounds like a wonderful place to boat!

Ok...so here is my only other advice on the boat purchase... Go a little crazy on the stereo... It will never be cheaper to add stuff in than when you buy the boat and it's all being done right from the get go. I had my minor mid life crisis on the stereo in our boat and couldn't be happier each time we take it out. Enjoy and congrats again! wrangler

            Wrangler,

What stereo options did you chose?

I agree with Wrangler - go all out on the stereo. It has been the best part of the boat for me. Kids really have a ball with all of the noise (if YOU can handle it).

I'm not sure I agree on the price of the stereo as a factory option. That might be a topic for a whole 'nuther thread. Definitely have them drill the holes and run speaker wire for you (buy the basic system). I think you can get better aftermarket stuff for cheaper if you are willing to install it yourself.

I am sad to see that they have stopped making the 24V. Another leap in price...
              Be excellent to one another.

We ended up going with an Alpine system. Alpine head unit, 8 Alpine speakers in the boat, four on the tower and an Alpine 12 inch sub in the driver kick panel. We went with three batteries and 2800 watts split between three amps. One to drive the sub, one for the tower and one for the boat. It sounds very clean and it's fun to have that much stereo in the boat... The kids love it and for that matter...so do I!!! Go for it...

                      John,

Since the V is no longer avail did they mention the new 07 models coming out? The picklefork?

                        Lucky,

I was just sent the new graphics and colors for the 2007 models from my dealer. I did notice that the V's were missing. I also saw the caption "new models" without any description. I do not know if there are new models or what they will be.
