Hold out for a 2005, interior vinyl design is much better. Look for the 340hp marine power motor. Also look for perfect pass. 22v and 24v are very similar. I love a bigger boat. I always buy boats from far away and have them shipped. Boats are worth more up here (Idaho) and I saved 5k or so buying and shipping it.

Great wakes just takes a little more ballast. IMPO unless you haul huge crews around say 10+ people the 22v is plenty of boat. I am on a small lake and the 24 would be to much. The 22 is perfect for 8 people maneuvers easier and is an all around great boat for the price your looking to spend. 24 is nice and if I always had 10 people going out Iwould want the 24 but if your regular crew is 6-8 then I prefer the sporty handling of the 22 over the 24. 24 drives great it's just not as nimble as the 22. Gas consumption a little less on the 22 but they are going to be close. Being Tiges they are going to be great on fuel consumption compared to other wake boats. Depending on what you tow with the 24 could pose some challenges. You really can't go wrong with either one. And coming from a 205dd either of these boats are going to seem huge. I would sell you mine but my family would kill me. I didn't think we used it enough to justify keeping it so I suggested we sell it they almost disowned me! Good luck in your search. IMPO you should be able to get a nice 03 22v for 25k or a nice 03 24 in the low30s.

You mention the need for 'family'. If you have kids on the boat I would highly suggest you look at the Ve series that were introduced in 2006. The transom was re-worked and is much more family friendly as it significantly lessens the distance between the swim platform and the rear sun deck. This makes the it easier and safer to get into the boat. Try to get your hands on both the V and Ve models before taking the plunge man.

X2 on dans comment. I would go with the VE over the V any day. will cost a little more but will also hold its value better. I had a few issues with my 07 22ve cruise but was able to fix with little effort and $$ so wouldn't let that scare you from them. Plenty of posts on her to fix the issues. The Ve just have a nicer look to em and the transom walk thru is awesome. Get with the vision seat if possible as you will love it. plenty of ballast installs on here to help also if it doesn't come plumbed. If you were a couple weeks earlier mine would've been available and was a great boat.

We purchased an '05 22V earlier this year and could not be more pleased with the result. The boat has the mercury 350 Mag and we have had no issues. It was relative low hours at 161 when we picked it up and we are rapidly approaching 300 with many more warm days to run this summer. If you find a good one get it!
I saw an '06 24V on Texas Auto Liquidators site earlier this week. If I wasn't already in I would be heading for Dallas!
On another note we will be in CStat the weekend of Sept 19 to see our little Aggie pick up her ring. WHOOP! May bring the boat down to celebrate afterwards on Conroe.image.jpg

I did see the 24v and have considered driving to DFW to see it and test drive. Thanks for your feedback on the 22v with 350 mag. I plan to drive the 22v next week.
