    2015 Tige Updates?

For those that were viewing the Raptor Motors thread, there was this link to a 2015 Z3 for sale:
    http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=44569#
I noticed that there were a few changes for 2015:
    • Polk Audio Head Unit
    • Tige Touch
    • Zero Off GPS cruise control
    • New gauges on the instrument cluster?

    Anything that I missed?

I believe the gauge cluster is shared with the ASR. It would make good sense to use the same gauges across the lineup if possible to save on costs/build inventory management issues. I personally think the new TT looks much better, hopefully it is easier to navigate (I really like the LINCII console in the Nautiques and this is getting closer!!!) These upgrades and rumors may keep me waiting for a new Tige...will see! There has been alot of debate on these threads, but I believe for the average, non-competion user a flexable - easy to adjust surf system is key to keeping up in the current market.

Hopefully a dealer/Tige will chime in and confirm/deny some of the rumors.

From our dealers website, it appears that there is now a 3000 lb X package ballast (description under lime green/black Z3)
            http://www.heinenmotorsports.com/tige-boats.html

Did anyone notice that it states AUTO TAPS (8) on the TT? I wonder if they have included some auto functions for the plate similar to the Nautique LINC system.

2015 could be an interesting year with some big improvements (my opinion). Here's hoping to factory cross drain/vent and faster pumps for the ballast. I would also love to see a rear facing seat option (mid port side).

              Good pick ups by all.

TT is now murphy system so you will see some changes. X package ballast(3K) on the big boats. GPS based cruise. More gel options standard. Stainless rub rail standard. Of course the 6.2 engines in 400, 440, and 575. Auto launch feature for the TAPS. Very similar to Nautique as they also run the murphy system.

Sorry Dandy while there is the bigger ballast package there was nothing about any plumbing/ pump changes. And if their is a surf system they are keeping it extremely quiet. It would be news to me. There are a lot of changes within the touch now with it being murphy based. Timer problems are gone. There is built in inclinometer for both side to side and pitch front to back. Zero off GPS and lots of other stuff I couldn't write down fast enough. Pretty big upgrade. But like with anything the price tag will reflect!!!

I was thinking/hoping that the surf system could simply be the VX combined with above. If set up similar to Nautique LINK, they could have starting points set for surf port/surf starboard/wake beginner/wake "pro" that would have the TAPS setting - since this can be set by the system - along with the settings for the inclinometer and pitch. In theory they could use the inclinometer/pitch to set up ballast already compensating for gear/people weight, giving a consistant set up each time out. If they did this to make ballast set up easier, I would for sure give Tige a look again as we are currently shopping.

As a current Tige owner that is very happy with the service from his dealer, I am pleased to see something from Tige to keep our interest in the brand.

They were testing a quick fill system on Ragboy's Z3 at the Colorado EWT stop. I guess RJ wrote some iphone app/algorithm that allowed them to swap like 1300lbs in 3 minutes.

How is that TT similar to Nautiques? nautiques use push buttons, this one still looks a touch based system, new flashy graphics don;t mean alot, if its still touch based

My comparison between the new TT and the Nautique LINK was more relative to the programming. Nautique LINK from the factory has starting parameters for different surfing, wakeboarding and “back to dock” configurations relative to ballast, NSS and NCRS (G Series plate). If Tige created these setups based on input from the new sensors, the system could ballast and set plate accordingly without having to guess and adjust. The Auto Launch should set the taps back to 1 under certain speeds to help with getting on plane and then set back to programmed setting when you have reached the surf/wake speed – one less things for the driver to do (this is all a guess by the way). I believe that a Murphy screen/system is used in the Centurion boats and even though it is touch (which I agree maybe should not be in boats) it is much more responsive than TT original.
