I have a 2000 2100v with the TAPS system and my gauge has stopped working. The system continues to engage and function however I don't always know what my wake setting is. Any help is appreciated!

TAPS gauge issue

There is a sensor inside one of the Bennett rams. Mine has been out for several years and I just start from all the way up or down and count while I press the button. Too cheap to buy another ram or take this one apart to check it. One day I will fix it. I know it is not the gauge because I replaced it and still have the problem.

I just purchased a 2001 2100V and replaced the HPU and O-rings in the rams along with the switch in the throttle. It works great now, like new except for the gauge which is not working. Interestingly, after I replaced everything on my first trip out the gauge worked intermittently a few times and then stopped working and hasn't moved since that first day out. I am wondering if it is the ram that just went bad after being used after being out of commission for so long or if there is a wiring issue?
Does anyone have any advice on how I can check for the resistance reading that I should have at the gauge? I am pretty sure it is the ram sending unit that is bad and they are only about $50 and pretty easy to replace but wanted to know if there is anything else I should look at before spending more money on it. I already spent about $300 getting it all working.
