    My first boat!

Here it is... a single owner 2001 2300v w/ 445 hrs. Just installed Perfect Pass and the new tower will ship next week.

The wife and I got hooked on surfing a few years ago and decided we wanted our own boat last fall. We had one criteria for a boat... surfing Most of the boats on the short list were Tiges but we live in the middle of nowhere and were willing to keep our options open for the right deal. Especially since this is our first go at this boat idea. Fortunately this boat came along in our back yard for a good price, so we pulled the trigger. I just wanted to say thanks to all those that post here as it has made our decision much easier. Guess what? We can surf anytime we want now! Shout out to Chpthril for the ballast setup!

There is sooo much to learn, but we are stoked for the best poor decision we have made yet

I've been on the fence for a week about to pull the trigger on a Tige. I think you just convinced me, the wife and I love to surf as well and my two little ones. They kneeboarded on our board today right behind our stern drive boat and they were catching the wave too. It was awesome. Ugh, I just need to do it.

You picked the right Tige to surf. That 23V puts out an amazing surf wave. Congrats.

                Nice looking boat!
I do not know what is bigger the wave or the mountain in the background!

Where in Idaho are you? What did you do for ballast?

Congrats on the boat. We owned a 2002 23V. Ditto on the Idaho location? Boise here

Thanks for the welcome gang! I live in Donnelly. I have not been out enough to have my ballast 100% dialed but in that pic I have maybe 15-1600 lbs in the port side locker/pass seat and 150ish in the port bow. I see some previous 23v owners here... care to share your ballast setups hmmm? Surf pic from tonight cause what fun is a thread without pics?

We ran an Enzo bag and another 400 on the back seat. Another 400 to 800 in the bow. Taps at 3 to 4 and PP set to 10.5 mph. That boat likes a ton of weight (literally) my wife hated driving the listed boat, hence the new boat.
I thought I recognized the mountains we are looking at coming up for the day next weekend.

Stingreye, my 22v has stock ballast.... Will the ones that came stock work to make a decent wave ???

I guess I need to do some experimenting.
