No problem, I should be home around 4:30. I will post up a pic if I can figure out how to post it on the forum. I am psyched for the season to start and the string of nice weather is making me want to be out on the lake. I am game for going out for a session soon.

Is that washer magnetic on the bottom of the rubber stopper?

I have a 2003 with velvet drive and the dipstick is the same. All you are missing is a washer that threads on the bottom. It has a few small teeth that grip into the rubber so when you turn the handle it pulls up the washer to expand the rubber for a tighter seal.

I had this happen to me, recovered the washer with a magnet (retractable kind they sell,at the auto parts store), put it back on and then purposely damaged the first few screw threads so it cannot come of again. This was several years ago and all is still well with the trans. Good luck!

My dipstick is also missing some parts.
I had an earlier post about this.
The jam nut and rubber plug are both missing.
The tranny seems to be slipping some when we are surfing.

I just sucked the oil out from last year and it seemed a bit darker than I would have expected.
Once it was out, I used a borrowed mini-camera and looked around inside the transmission.
There wasn't anything obvious in the bottom and the long screen inside looked perfect.
I did use a small magnet on from the car parts store to go on a fishing expedition and didn't grab anything.

I may try running the boat longer in reverse and see if anything comes loose.
It's way cheaper to try that and change the oil again, instead of replacing the transmission.

I haven't been able to find the replacement parts anywhere online.
So... if anyone knows them off hand I'd appreciate it.

                      Cheers!!
