just wondering if anyone would know how to go about getting hold of a Alpa z tower for a 2008 Z1?

I don't think they can be retro fit. The Alpha Z is actually integrated into the hull and structure and not just a bolt on tower. I also know they are very expensive from seeing prices of people having to replace parts of them due to damage.

It is all in the budget. I was fortunate that when I hit the house with my tower and broke it the insurance kicked in and I was able to get a Samson Razor tower for mine. Love the look and much more stable than the original Metcraft. You do get what you pay for as the Samson is custom made just for your boat, not a universal.

The Samson Razor tower is a great tower. minima rattles, easy bimini up/down and easy tower up down depending on how many speakers. ai ruined by accident my 07 Series E tower and after researching I went with Sampson.LOOKS GREAT, has nice mirror billet mount etc. Definite upgrade over Tige towers except the Alpha. Enjoy.

Another vote for the Joystick Pro Series tower. I installed one on my last boat after calling and talking at length with all the major tower makers and could not possibly have been happier with the product, the support, or the price. Strong, solid, silent, very cool appearance, everything you want in a tower. Powdercoated in your choice of colors. One of the best products I've ever purchased. My highest recommendation.

Yeah unfortunately you cant get the Alpha Z on the 2008 Z1 - the dealer and I looked into it a year ago or so.
But the Sampson Razor tower is a perfect fit - that is what I roll with from day one.

I have an old '08 RZ4 that had the stock Xtreme tower with multiple cracks and replaced it with a Samson Blade tower. Had them ship it raw and it is currently being powder coated here local.

Cant wait to see it finished and installed.

I am thrilled with my razor tower on my 2008 22Ve. It is solid, easy to raise and lower and has no rattles. One thing to check - I believe the razor has more head room than an alpha z. I would check the clearance on any tower and the height with Bimini open also.
