    2009 22Ve Sale Price Question

Well it has come time to seriously entertain sales offers and get a price put together. My summer schedule will no longer allow me lake time and new job and other committed weekend hobby of rodeos will interfere with lake time.

On a high note i still have friends with boats so can find the occasional escape to the lake just wont be on my ride anymore.

Ok so now to the real info:

2009 22Ve with all upgrades offered (withholding:salt water flush kit, hot water shower, bow filler cushion) Every other option was included:tower of power stereo plus add ons, tower lights, dock lights, underwater lights, driver heater, defroster, EIDB Battery setup, retractable transom straps, and i know im missing so much but you guys know what is all included. Trailer is upgraded Boatmate with 18" chrome wheels and Nexen tires. Added stuff:extra ballast and pumps 2000 pounds total now ($2000 at time of purchase), Pair Pro 60's ($600 at time of purchase), WS 420 ($200).

It now has 350 hours of use and all fresh water and rinsed and dried after use daily. Waxed twice a year, always garage/barn kept. Yearly and seasonal service done, i.e. oil changes steering cables, impeller changed at 2 years- would put a new one coming up on new season if still not sold. My main question is what do you all think is a fair asking price to start at. Ive seen some others online hat seem high and some that seem low. Im honestly getting 55K in my mind, but would like to know if i am out of line somehow.

I just purchased an 09, 180hrs, mint gel coat and covers ..(never left outside), same trailer setup, no arch speakers, no ballast, no heater or defrost for about 15K less than your number. I feel that I got a great end of season deal.

I dont remember the exact factory cost of the ballast setup but do know that without tower speakers that lowers it about 1200 and then probably saves the use of 1 amp which is another 600. I know that the heater doesnt cost a whole lot extra, but the ballast is where the big price difference is here i would think. The ballast alone will be multiple thousands of dollars for install + supplies. (pumps, bags, hose, fittings, plumbing). A big part of a price is the market around you too, i only live about 2.5 hours from the factory, but there is not a Tige dealer within that 2.5 hours from my location but great lake activity nonetheless. Thank you for your input though as that is exactly what im looking for. Just need to get an idea together before going forward with a sale. Want to be fair to both parties involved.

like cars, the added stuff doesn't add much to the total value of the boat. might have cost 2k for ballast upgrades, but most shopping that boat expect a basic ballast setup and what you have done might be worth an extra $4-500. sound system is really more of a bargaining chip to make your boat more attractive than other 22ft boats on the market. again, don't expect to ever get full price out of upgrades. with newer and better speakers from wetsounds out, the pro60's aren't going to be a big deal for most. now if you had rev8/10's there, different story.

time of year will really dictate quite a bit of the price. now, that boat is pretty worthless up north. in spring, that'll be a hot commodity. I would think 5year old boat with those hours and options would be a 50k boat tops private party. dealers will charge more but they have many advantages private party don't when selling.

it is a very good looking boat. good luck with the sale..

Yea, I would of probably paid 2k more for a ballast (I'm going to put that much into it doing it myself). Maybe 1k more for the speakers. The amp that came with it may run tower speakers (I am not near boat, just remember it's large). But your extras may be offset some by the difference in hours, 180 vs. 350. I feel I got a great deal. He was asking $10k more, a craigslist ad. When he gave me his price I said thank you and didn't even counter (didn't want to low ball). He called me back a couple weeks later. Between some job issues with the government shutdown and a young and growing family they decided to get rid of it in the worse time of the year. I got lucky to be the one who was looking!

I hear you on the depreciation of even the accessories and could never get full retail out of them, just looking for a starting point to list it at and then go from there. I dont want to start too low and lose out or start too high and scare potential buyers. I am very willing to work with anyone and down here in texas there is not really any off season, i wakeboard or surf 10 months out of the year, but i have no time to use the boat anymore and cant justify keeping it when someone else can and will use it. I appreciate the input guys this is what i need to get from people around boating.
