I love all the Nautique people screaming Tige copied the G23. Even now on the Tige owners site. Are there similarities..sure there is. Its a boat. It has to be made a certain way to go thru the water. If you want more wake it needs more ballast to push it deeper into the water. If you push it deeper into the water you need higher sides/more freeboard for safety. So sure they are going to look alike. Like someone said over on WW, like them all up 100 yards away and they all look awefully similar..then squint a little and try to tell the difference.
I especially like the comment that the ASR was an exact plug copy of the G23. That Tige had bought a G23 and made the mold directly from it. If only it was that easy I'd be making boats. Like Ewok said if they copied I am sure there will pending legal action. Making a direct copy of another manufacturers hull would IMO put you out of business. Between the lawsuits, fines, and then the loss of all credibility in a extremely competitive tow boat market. Tige couldn't possibly be that stupid when they were selling boats just fine before the ASR.
