My horn is not very loud so I carry a handheld aircan horn as a backup, and for possible situations of a rider in the water or kids swimming behind the boat and another boater is coming up from behind the boat. The installed horn only projects out the bow so the hand held can be directed anywhere.
To solve your installed horn issue, have you looked at circuit breakers (CB)?

Unless it is a free warranty fix, I would ignore the relatively worthless stock horn and get a hand-held air horn like Ewok suggests.
The absolutely only use I have found for the stock horn is letting my toddler push it while he is on my lap -- he knows that is the only button he is "allowed" to push. And it makes him happy. So if you have a toddler, or an adult that acts like a toddler, then by all means fix it
I'm in the same boat... 2010 RZ2 and my horn stopped working earlier this month. Another problem I have is my tower (docking) lights wont work either. I turn off my battery switch when I store the boat between weeks when I don't use it and hook up a battery charger before I go out to find both batteries drained down to 20%!! That leaves me to believe I've got some sort of short either in the fuse box or the black breaker box under the dash.
Let me know what you find out! i"ll be troubleshooting my boat this weekend to finally figure out what the problem is.

The horn is about the size fo your hand, so it wont be wrapped in black harness loom. Its under the helm.

The horn on my boat is behind one of the bow vents. I've never tried but I guess you have to take the bow side and back rest cushions out to access the horn itself.

Starboard side under the helm. If you can lift up your bow seat backrest, you should be able to access the horn itself. The wire simply came off of mine. Ewok is correct that it's mounted behind a vent in front of the windshield.

No, Ewok is saying that his 2009 RZ2 has it mounted way up front in the bow. Same with my '09 RZ4. But that may have changed location since then, since I think they got rid of using the little vents in the bow.

No worries, I didn't think it would vary so much in location between boat models. Sounds like mine is in a good spot to service!
