05 22v swim platform floppy and loose

This seems to be the year for problems and issues.. I guess it's because we have really been failure free with our Tige for so long.

Anyhow... Our teak swim platform is getting really loose this year.
There has always been a little wiggle... but now it's really moving.
I had seen that the was a warranty recall on the mounts a long time ago.
I'm hoping to find out if there are replacement mounts available.

I have attached a photo of the starboard mount.
You can clearly see that the top of the 'V' is loose and has lots of slop.

    The hull ID is: TIX06401K203
I'm pretty that it is T (tee) I (eye) X06401K203

As always... thanks for your help and input..!!!

No pic attached, but if your HID ends in "03", your boat is a 2003, not a 2005.

Wow... that's news about the year.
I believe the registration showed/shows 05... guess I better check.
Either way.. we love the boat.. but it sure makes a difference when ordering parts or asking for help.

I blew it on the original photo attachment..
      Here is the picture.

      Thanks again!!

By the looks of that transom shot, that does not look like an 05V. Looks like an older V with spray pockets. Im surprised your insurance agent didnt mention anything when you wanted to insure an 05 and provided a HID for an 03. This could also effect the tax on the boat.

Wonder if you could have someone do some fill welding inside the "V" part to tighten it up?

Yes, I would take the mounts to a machine shop and have them fill weld and then notch it back to original specs.

I dunno if I woild waste time with welding them. Probably cheaper to get new style brackets and fit them on there

If you ever want to get that off again I would make sure you have anti-seize on the bolts and use nyloc nuts to hold them in place.

Do you have any photos of the 'update' using new bolts and where you put them?
I have a a local machine shop build a new platform bracket.. and make it much more sturdy.

I'm not a big fan of drilling new holes in the hull for a new mount.. unless the new one is bullet-proof and hides the original holes.

Thanks all for you continued input..!!

My 04 24V is same shape. Except one side is about to let go completely. Will need to do something this winter.
