Looking for a little insight. I just picked up my 2000 21v from the dealer last week. Put it in the water the next day. With in a minute the temp gage was reading 250, and a very loud beeping noise was coming from the dash I think. I immediatly loaded the boat back onto the trailer and brought it back to the dealer. They have since figured out the serpentine belt that runs the water pump, alt. etc had seperated. Does anyone know if I ran the motor long enough to cause major damage to the engine. I am very un-mechanicly inclined so any help would be great. Thanks in advance.
