Anyone whether the Z3 has the dripless shaft seal, or whether it's the "old fashion" kind with the packing material? I'm away from the boat this week. Thanks in advance

When my seal was replaced they added a new line that went from the raw water pump indirectly to the new seal. For some reason the old seal didn't need it.

Just to be clear, mine never leaked either - but it did make horrible sounds because it was running dry (just as PSS said it would) and inspection revealed running dry was scarring the face of the carbon and stainless rings.
I find it quite notable that Tige has apparently switched to the wet version of the seal, at least for the Z3.
