2007 22ve 2 battery connection configuration

The company that winterized our boat this year disconnected several connections on the two batteries (cranking and deep cycle) and there is one cable (approx 1 foot in length) that is not connected at all. Does anyone have a picture of how the connections should be hooked up.

When you say its only a foot long, im guessing its not connected on either end? The only cable that short would be the ground cable that connects the house battery to the main cranking. Is it black?

or is it a red cable that connects to a manual-reset circuit breaker bolted to the transom above the batteries? If so, it connects to the house battery.

Thank you for replying. The foot long cable is black. It was just sitting on the floor of the boat and not connected to anything.

yeah, thats the ground that links the house battery to the main cranking, thus the boat ground. if not connected the house will not receive a charge from the alternator.
