Do I need a muffler on my tige 24v?

My freaking muffler cracked again! I am so sick and tired of fixing it. It's just a poor design. Since I have an FAE do I need the baffle in the muffler? Can I just replace it with a stainless pipe?

Whaaat? #2 ? thats crazy, Ive never heard of that happening before.
Is that because of where you live in sub zero temps ??
