    Ice box leaks...

Just bought a 2010 22ve and we love it. The ice box doesn't hold water though and that is frustrating. The rubber plug appears to need an o-ring or something like that. I considered caulking around the flange of the plug recess. Anyone else experienced this?

Yup, there is probably no seal or caulk around the flange of the drain hole. If you can reach under the cooler you can unscrew the drain from the bottom, apply some silicone sealant, and tighten it back down again. There was also no clamp on the drain hose underneath on mine either, I added one. Now I get no more leaks.

Ok...how do I get at it? Lift the floor, go in through back compartment? I noticed the drain hose drains above the transmission.

Where is the cooler located on the 22ve. I just checked the Tige website and it looks like they are not offering the Ve line in 2012. On my RZ2 the cooler is located behind the driver and I had to crawl through the starboard v-drive locker to reach the nut below the cooler where I loosened it, went topside, applied caulk, went back below and tightened it down. While below I also added a hose clamp to the drain hose and no more leaks. Before I did this the cooler leaked onto the cockpit floor every time, now, no more leaks at all.

Ok, so go through the rear locker? Do I need to lift the floor in that back compartment? (the one with the 80 lb warning?). By the way...I was told that as long as the 250 ballast tank is full I can install an aftermarket 750 on top of that...do you agree?

I can confirm that you can add the extra weight in your locker as long as your hard tank is full.

Are you trying to fill the 750s from the factory vent line? Just loosen the clamp on the vent line thru hull, put a fitting on it and pop it on the sac. Then run the vent from the sac through the factory vent thru hull and you should be good.

got it...thanks. Lastly...I bought a Tsunami inline pump to drain my 750 sac and I want to wire it to the drain pump on the factory ballast tank. The problem is that i cannot reach, let alone see, the drain pump. That said, I can see two small wires running down behind the batteries - one brown and the other black. I assume these are to that pump - can you verify that? If so, I could splice into them and be finished this project!
