My '05 24V is probably the best boat (out if 4) that i've owned. I have the Mercruiser Black Scorpion for plenty of low end power. It's fairly good on fuel as well. I only have two complaints with the boat. First is the ice chest. What a pain to access. They placed it under the front corner cusion. it needs to be re located with gas shock hinges for easy access. Second is the front bow cushions. as mentioned before, no shocks, and the whole seat needs to be lifted to access the storage area. I'm looking into trading mine for '06 cushions if they will fit. other than that.. GREAT boat, GREAT wake, GREAT ride..

Bog,
As I stated before it is not too hard if you manage some 'creative incompetence' at the wheel.
First, put 500 pounds in the nose, then wakeboard, gently slow down so that you create a long surfing type wave, turn around, throttle a little and then let off so that the nose settles into the trough of your 'surf wave' and you will get water over the nose. It's not a lot, but can be done without ballast as well. It also takes just the right angle.
It is a rare event. I have only taken water over the bow once that I considered a problem, and that was at Mead in very, very large whitecaps. Perhaps I could have avoided that too, had I been a better driver. 6 inches of water above the floor boards had me pretty nervous. I settled into a trough just right while I was traveling with the wind at my back.Be excellent to one another.

I have two Tsunami pumps for the bags.
I'd be using those real fast!

I wasn't smart enough (or I was in too much shock) to throw down my ballast pumps. The bilge eventually pumped it all out, it just took about 40 minutes.
It was pretty frightening. I was going just the right speed with the wind at my back that as I rose over the large wave in front of me, it essentially put the boat on a fulcrum. When the boat got mostly over the wave, the nose just dived into this huge trough that had formed and plowed right into the back of the next wave.Be excellent to one another.

I do that all the time with my Sea Doo Watercraft, it is really cool to go through the back of the wave, especially at Utah Lake, with 40 mph winds out of the south. But I don't think I'll try that with my 21i. Next time you want to do that, let me know and we can go do it on my Sea Doo's. Oh yea, your tax return was filed electronically last night.

Our 24V
We have a 05 24V with the PCM 6.0 375 that we bought in December. We have had it on the lake twice and loaded down both time. The prop I have is for 5000 feet or better and I am working on getting one for sea level now. Even with the smaller prop at sea level, all four ballast full and eight people the boat pulls hard and I am sure it will pull harder once we change the prop. The one thing I have a problem with is the same as everyone else. I can't get the nose to dry out from the rain water. But all in all the boat handles great and the ride is nice. I have yet to put it in a deep enough lake with the right prop to see a large wake but that is comming soon. Next Month I hope. The kids want to surf the wake so I just hope the boat generates one large enough for that I have yet to see it.

What prop do you have on it now? What are you going to put on?
As far as moisure, is that under the bow seats? If so, one thing that you may want to do is lift and prop up the bow seats after the rain so that air can get in and better dry the area. Also jack the boat up high that way the water will flow better into the drains. Also have service make a bigger hole for draining purposes.

I have the ACME 537 Prop and I found an Ambush 14X18 that I have been told will work okay. I am seriously considering buying the ACME 13.5X17.5 from Tige'. the ACME 537 is 13X16.

The Acme 537 is 13.5 X 16. At my elevation, (2700 ft.) I noticed a considerable improvement with the 537 vs. a 14 x 18. The top end was no different, but the low end torque was very different when the boat was very full (much better with the acme). The 14 x 18 was not an acme prop.Be excellent to one another.
