Low end performance problems
I own a 2003 Tige 22v w/350 MAG MPITOW SPORTS engine and was wondering if anyone has solutions for my problem below.
While putting the boat in the water last weekend I forgot to secure gas cap after filling boat with gas, so basically the gas cap was dangling from chain while driving boat from trailer to anchor for approx 3 minutes. Can this cause the problems I'm experiencing below?
Boat bogs and sputters at lower speeds (5-10 mph) during takeoff. If I progressively push the throttle from 0 to 15 mph (pulling someone on a surfboard) the boat will bog and sputter for about 2 to 5 seconds and then is fine after reaching higher speeds. If I push the throttle very fast from 0 to 30 mph there is no bogging or sputtering.
I installed a new inline fuel filter, but did not fix the problem.
