I love noodling...... I was in a shallow 3-5 ft area of the lake nice sandy bottom for the kids to play. There is like 36" drain covert close to this area and lots of people come to this area to hang out it is very popular. It was a cut I had gotten at work (welder by trade) that allowed the bacteria to get in. Four days later I went to the doctor when I noticed that what I thought was bug bite wasn't getting any better. I have had two different surgeries and had to be on some crazy meds that make me really sick. I hope to get it closed soon as I have had to pack gauze in it three times a day to try and kill the infection and not loose my leg

Under normal conditions (no ballast) my boat tracks starboard. Have to have the steering wheel at about 10 o'clock to have the boat drive straight.
Surfing port side, boat will drive straight no problems. Steering wheel still at 10 o'clock.
Surfing starboard side, boat will not track straight. I'm assuming this is because of the 10 o'clock steering position (i'm guessing rudder position is in slight left turn). Have to strong arm wheel to keep it "straight" 10 o'clock wheel position. It's literally a fight to keep it going straight. As you can imagine this trashes the wake.
I know my cable is not bad because I can 1 finger steer boat in all conditions beside ballasted starboard.
When boat is on the trailer steering tracks as it should. Wheel centered, rudder centered and right an left operate as it should.
Should I be able to turn the rudder by hand without operating steering wheel.
Very new boat owner.... sorry for the stupid questions.
