First time out on the lake in my new used boat. I just got out of the wake zone and opened it up and it ran sweet. I stopped to fill up my ballis system and I went to take off again and the boat would not go forward or in reverse and it would just idle. I turned off the boat and then restarted it and everything worked great. Then it happend again and again and again!!! Need some help please

The TPS (throttle position sensor) located on the back of the throttle lever is a high probability with the age of the boat. If your boat has the Tige EIDB dual battery system, then the static voltage level of each battery needs to be tested. Having the ECM scanned for codes. This will go along way in pointing to a possible cause.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Please confirm the transmission's behavior. You should be able to tell if the transmission is in gear, even in idle.

I have the same boat as you and I am currently experiencing the same problem. This also happened while surfing but after we were through and I ran the boat at about 4k rpms for 30 mins. the problem went away for the rest of the day. The next day it started again while surfing. I read on some past posts that if the batteries are low and there is a voltage difference between the two batteries then this problem will occur. It will cause the boat to go into limp mode. I found out that the GFI was tripped on the receptacle that I plug the batteries into at the slip before I left last weekend. I will know this weekend if it fixes the issue. The transmission was engaging.
