    Transmission issues

Ok so I just got back from my first trip of the season to Parker. Got out there had a dead battery and smoked the impeller. Was able to fix both after hours of searching for the part. Boat ran great the rest of the trip. Last night I put the boat on the trailer and had to use a little reverse power to straighten out in the current. I know not good and I usually baby the tranny. I lost forward and reverse power after that. It sounds like the boat goes into gear, but prop doesn't spin. It does have a clunking sound in gear Im thinking tranny or drive shaft issue. Anyone have a problem like this? Any idea how much it's gonna cost?

    Thanks,
    Ryan

    same prob

Hello this is my first post I'm new to the site but I had the same thing happen to me last trip to the lake and in doing some reading on here I think it mite be the shaft coupler at the transmission as said by "boatwakes" I havnt really messed with it yet I'm afraid to find out how bad it is to fix. Let me know if you found anything out ok yours please.. I'm a do it yourselfer and would rather not take it in anywhere.
