Is that a little prop burn on the first pic of the prop on the boat?

Very nice Wicked! Jim @ Acme really wanted me to try a 15" but I need to measure clearance on the trailer and the boat. They shipped me a 2131 (5 blade!) and a 1235 today which I will get on Friday and use on Saturday.

For some reason I really want the 5 blade to work out so I plan on installing it first and run it for a couple days before putting the 1235 on. I'll send one back and probably either get a 15" if it will clear or a new 2199 5 blade that is supposed to come in this week.

The 537 is such a dog on my boat with more than 50% ballast in the rear and 2 adults in the boat.

My trailer barely clears my 1235 prop. I seriously doubt I could safely install that on my boat unless I had some magic way to know for certain that the blades were aligned just right when pulling it onto the trailer with the strap.

One option might be to lower the prop guard on the trailer, but it's darned low as it is. I can scrape it on the pavement around corners if the side of the pavement "dips" just a bit.

yah 15 is killer.. But Honestly man your shorter boat would love the 1235 and would be plenty

You trailer is much lower than it is when sitting on the trailer on dry ground. Most boat ramps are angles and the boat is level when coming on and off the trailer.. Neat to see get some gogles and when your at loading and unloading depth get out and dive and look at it.. Your gonna be shocked up far it is from it!

That would be true while it's in the water. But as soon as I bring it up onto dry land, I would risk a clearance problem. I haven't measured but I bet I don't have half an inch between the outermost edge of a 1235 blade and the prop guard. IF the prop stopped between blades I'd be OK, but if it didn't the weight of the boat would come down on that blade edge.

                Tempting, though.

Mine's welded on, but could be cut. However, as I said:

Good pic of the mod you made to your prop guard. I have the opposite problem. I have lots of clearance between guard and prop but the guard is too low. I can barely get it up my angled driveway and it bottomed out going out of a parking lot. It is also welded on so I will cut it off and make it adjustable. Thanks!

Time for a new prop on our RZ4, what's your suggestion aside from 1235 which we currently have. Would be fun to experiment. Yes, the trailer will clear a 15" prop with no problems. We have the 409 engine.

I just put the 2313 on my new Malibu, because with the wedge the 1235 would barely plane out with 4500lbs of ballast and the 350 monsoon. It's pretty much a night and day difference over the 1235. The crazy thing is I'm running lower rpms at wakeboard speed which I didn't expect.

I would defiantly recommend these new 15" props. Well worth it.

Oh and since I've had my Malibu I truly miss the taps plate. Made it so much easier to plane out then having a stupid wedge drag it down.

Nobody will look into the new 15 incher, and report back later this season. Thanks Wicked.
