Show you wife the Go Pro and save yourself a couple thousand on the tower camera. You can even plug the Go Pro into the Medallion unit and have the video on the Tige Touch. JMO!

I did not know that. Great idea.

I guess here is the main issue we are looking at 3 boats. RZ2, VLX, and Mc X25. As of right now the Malibu is 8k cheaper than the Tige with essentially identical options. The MC is a bit more than the Tige. We have water demos set up for next weekend. I'd just like to get the prices closer without sacrificing.

The demo will knock out the MC.Do a right turn over the double up with ballast in the boat.Does the malibu have a tower camera?Does the malibu have iPod control on touch panel?Wouldn't a MXZ be more comparable to the RZ2? The VLX should be compared to the 22VE.The pickle forks cost more than the traditional bow. Also the Malibu doesn't have the clamping racks,360 service or a PCM MOTOR.

The clamping board racks are really expensive. However my buddy has them on his MC and I love them.
Evolution cover is probably around $800ish.

Bill will probably recommend the Samson swivel racks to save a few bucks and then you can order the boat with the Wetsounds options or it's probably cheaper to put them in yourself or have WWS do it. My factory Tige cover is 5 years old now and still in pretty good shape, they are pretty good covers.

I could get rid of the docking lights but they are only $300ish. Not much of a savings lol. Nick is also working on the stereo stuff for me. My brother was a certified car audio installer for a while so putting it in myself/with his help is an option. However it would be nice to just pick the boat up 100% done and ready to hit the lake.
One thing to consider about doing the stereo and speakers yourself is that there is only the manufacturer warranty. If you get it with boat from the factory you are covered with the factory warranty. When I talked with Nick he was not aware of that. I would at least see what the difference is, if it is not much I would get it with the boat. Also the factory speakers would have the connecting boot. Just a couple of things to consider.

Robert the Bu has the tower camera, heated seat, upgraded engine, docking lights, underwater lights, 4 board racks (I figure that's a trade off for clamping and surf pockets on the Tige). Maliview, yes you can control the iPod from maliview, bow ballast, power wedge, heater, full wet sounds including 8 interior speakers vs 6 in the Tige. The Bu is fully loaded as is the Tige. Here is an interesting fact, the VLX and MXZ have the EXACT same amount of interior room. The VLX gets 3 sq ft extra in the cabin and the MXZ gets 3 sq ft more in the bow. The March issue of transworld has a comparison. Both have 92sq ft total. 63 sq ft in the cabin of the VLX and 29 sq ft in the bow. MXZ has 60 sq ft in the cabin and 32 sq ft in the bow. I never ride in the bow so the VLX is a better fit for me. Anyone know the sq footage in the RZ2? I would love that info!

It has already been decided the fiancé gets to pick the boat and I get to pick the colors and options. so the water test is the biggie. I'm really excited and wish next weekend would hurry up and get here. Thanks for all the help!

I understand all that.Didn't realize they had the tower camera and iPod interface.Does the MXZ cost more than the VLX. Apples to Apples.

The MXZ does cost more than the VLX. Hell the MXZ costs more than the LSV. It's been a while since the fiancé has looked at the Bu's so I'm hoping to get her over there today after she is off work. I'm going to have them spec me out an MXZ to get an equal comparison, I do know the loaded up MXZ in the showroom is about 2k more than the Tige but it has some things I don't want and that the Tige I have spec'd out doesn't have. I'm guessing it's going to be damn close to the Tige price.

I guess when ordering boats for me dealer is a huge deciding factor and service departments never lack that for just a cheaper boat that seem's to perform better if the service department sucks then well you'll figure it out the hard way..

Fiancé hates the MXZ so no go on a straight comparison. Rensink I already have a good relationship with the Malibu dealer as my family has already bought 2 brand new boats from there. I really like the guys at the Tige dealership though. I think the Tige dealership might get an edge in the service dept based off pricing.

Timmy the demo is this coming Saturday. My fiancé works every other weekend so we couldn't do it this past saturday.
