    20V Prop

A few other threads on props got me thinkin...

'06 20v - The exiting prop has a small dent in it. It came to me that way so I've never drivin it any other way. I'm sure it's not enough to really effect anything but a spare is in my future anyway so here's the odd thing....

The existing prop is marked as a 13.7 x 17.5, 1-1/8". I assume it's an OJ 454. Acme doesn't seem to make this size. I need to get out and see what it does for max RPM and keep in mind I've only have this thing out 5 times last fall.

I just did a ballast tank replacement - two 400 lbs bags in the rear and 450lbs total up front in the compartments. Oh and we do everything - skiing, wakeboarding, and will be surfing this year for the first time.

I'll give ACME a call once I get the boat out again to get my max RPM but what are your thoughts on the damage? I assume I'll just get a ACME 537 for a replacement and use the OJ 454 as a spacre.

If your 06 has the 1.5:1 ratio v-drive, then the ACME 537 would have been the OEM prop. Its a good solid prop for those that are not running a lot of ballast or boating on lakes that are high in elevation.

Yep, have the 1.5:1. That's what I figured.

If you feel handy you could probably take that out yourself. Use one hammer as a backed and lightly tap with another and work it out. In the pic it looks as if another blade is dinged too. When mine got that small of a ding I did it myself. It worked and took out the vibration I was getting. I would then use it as a spare if you get a new one.

You're right. That's the plan. Thank you.
