how to install a new belt

My alternator froze up and snapped the belt, I had the alternator rebuilt and got a new belt, now I need some instruction on how to put the belt back on, any help? The alternator is back on and hooked up. I didn’t get to see how the belt was around the pullies. My boat is a 01 riders edition with the merc. 350 MPI. Please help, my first boat and I've only had it 4 months. The water's getting colder by the minute.

I have an 02 with the 350. Did you look to see if there was a sticker anywhere around the motor that shows the belt layout? A few months ago I replaced mine and I vaguely remember a small 1x1 yellow sticker that showed the layout.

I thought I had seen that sticker too but when I went to look for it I couldn't find it. Does anyone know exactly where the sticker is?

It should be by or on the thermostat housing.

installing belt

you will need beer....lots of beer.

So far the worst project on the 2100V has been the startr replacement.
Would be impossible without pneumatic wrench
