2006 22VE Riders Edition - What Does the Rider's Edition Add?

Greetings from the frozen north.
I'm about to purchase a 2006 22VE Rider's Edition.
I would appreciate knowing what unique or additional equipment a Rider's Edition comes with versus a boat without the Rider's Edition designation.

I do not know exactly, but from what I recall on the newer boats it may just be the graphics. I will let others chime in.

Do you have any pictures? What options does the boat have? Are you trying to see if there is more value in the RE or why do you need to know?

I'm not sure Tige made a "Riders Edition" per-say for the 06 Ve models. Are you sure its a Ve and not a V? In years past, the RE's were mainly cosmetic like graphics and vinyl patterns. Equipment still had to be spec'd out by the dealer or buyer.

Rider's Edition?

The reason I'm interested in knowing what the Rider's Edition adds is that any special edition of anything should offer something unique or of value....and being new to Tige (new to boats), the "edition" seems like it should mean something. I see other 22ve's without it. The "Rider's Edition" is printed across the back just above the platform.

I could be wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if the previous owner just got the sticker and added it.

The tower doesn't look like a factory tower rather a Samson. They are good.

Definitely a Ve, and its an early 06 at that. That is a Samson tower, and it looks at though the boat may not have factory ballast.

You guys are good....yes, a Samson tower and no factory balast in the boat. Current owner factory ordered it. She has many options...upgraded tower, heater, shower, LED lights. It also comes with all manditory safety gear, all his sports equipment, spare prop, bumpers, ropes, etc. I have a well respected mechanic taking it for a run and doing a mechanical evaluation on Friday.

I still don't know what the Rider's Edition really brings to the game.

I would say nothing. Especially if it is as I suspect and it is just the sticker. As Chp mentioned it being an early '06 it may have been a left over sticker or preferred one. I wanted to get the same one that you have on the side but changed my mind. I got my boat used a year ago.

Nautiques have the Team Edition that has essentially all the options but this does not carry over to the Tige's that are newer. From what I know every boat is custom ordered with the options that the owner or dealer wants. You ought to be able to add the options that you mentioned in NADA to see what it thinks they are worth. The only options that I can not see is if you have tower speakers. Bottom line is the options are only worth what someone is willing to pay. Sometimes all the extra options just assist with a sell but no added value.

I can hear the Tige sales guy back in 2006...."this really cool Rider's Edition gets the very special Rider's Edition sticker...coooool".

A quick search on google shows that "Rider's Edition" often pops up with the 2006 22VE.

The boat has two tower speakers and an upgraded factory sound system.

I hope it checks out well.

In '05, Riders Edition just meant different graphics. No change in equipment.

I assume it was the same in '06.

Bought the boat!
It past its checkup but needs a few things...blower and shower not working and the stereo is wired incorrectly to the battery. It also needs a new steering cable. A nice surprise was the hours are only 148. The seller was using the "mileage" of 520 to set the price.
I'll get the items fixed, get her detailed, then shrinkwrap her up until spring!
I look forward to posting a few new pictures when she is floating around the Shuswap.

I thought "Riders Edition" means that it has everything it needs to ride but not some of the extra frilly stuff that adds expense and really does not matter.

It's also considered by some to be bad luck to name any boat shorter than 27 feet in length. Might be best to just remove the name altogether.
