Can anyone tell me what the height of these two boats with the towers folded down? They are both on stock trailers for the years. I am looking to purchase one of these and need to make sure they will fit in my 83" high entry way to my garage. I have a slightly slanted driveway as well. Thanks for any info.

Here's a shot of my 24Ve with the tower folded down (not likely to ever happen again):
It's useful here to compare its height with my truck's roof height. I have standard garage doors and my truck has just a few inches of clearance. Eyeballing it here, I'm not sure it would fit. On the other hand, user Ewok here keeps his in his garage and I don't recall him having an unusually tall garage door so maybe it will work.
Personally, I'd worry more about the width and length. The 24's are pretty wide, but even that's not as big a concern as the length. The hull alone is 24 feet (and that's if you remove the swim platform every time), then add the trailer tongue and you're getting right up there in overall length. How deep is your garage? Does either trailer have a swingaway tongue?

I have a 3 car garage and I plan on putting it in diagonally through the double wide part. I have 30+ feet length so I don't think I will have an issue. I was told today by the dealer that with the trailer lowered down all the way down on the jack that it was 84 inches. At towing height it was 86 inches. That is for the 2005. I am trying to think of ways to lower the boat down to clear now. Not sure if I could lower the tire pressure or get lower profile tires and clear.

Looks like those towers have a fold point well ahead of the axles, so your dealer may be correct that you can shave a couple inches by lowering the tonque. That raises the question: How low can you get the tonque while still towing the trailer? Both trailers are double axle, which are really hard to push by hand in anything but a straight line. Can you back it into your garage? Can you lower your tow ball height enough to make a difference in folded tower height?

The only way to get a real accurate reading is to have the dealer measure to that boats specific tower folding point. Those trailers could have smaller or bigger tires than stock? They could have welded the bunks higher or lower?
Dont take a chance and find out after its an 1" off.
As long as your serious buyer, ask the dealer if you can drag the boat home and make sure it fits, that can very easily be a contingency on your contract.

The internet guy at the dealership measured it for me and said the 2005 was 84" with the tower removed and I couldn't get a real clear answer if he meant folded down or completely removed. I think he said the 2006 was 92" but I can't confirm if he was saying removed/folded on that one either. He also said that was with the trailer jack at it's lowest point. Now, my driveway is sloped (about 20 feet long and goes from street to garage about 2 feet higher). If 84" is with it folded, I can find the 1" I need to clear the entry way. I don't care if that means modifying the trailer in some way to get it in there. I would go that route. My problem with the whole thing is that the boats are in Vegas and I am in Phoenix. I am going to fly up and take a look at the boats next month. I will be bringing a tape measure for sure.

Here are my new plans - depends on a few factors. If I end up buying one of these and 86" is the height, I will modify my garage door opening +3 inches. I found a guy local to me that let me take a look at his garage. He modified it for this purpose. He basically removed the stucco at the top of the garage and the 2x6 header, cut the truss all the way over the top, reinstalled the 2x6 and stucco'd again w/paint. He went up 3". Then he installed wider weather stripping and a piece on the top of the garage door and painted. Up close, if he points it out, you can tell, but not from 20 feet. They did everything in a weekend including painting to match. I will measure the boats in question before buying and then bring them home. I will verify if it will fit first and then have them modify if needed. Wish I didn't have an HOA.
