Depth Finder.....HELP!!!

My 2000 21 V depth finder is driving me crazy.....I have obviously gotten it set WAY off and the alarm is on like 6' for shallow, and 20' for deep alarm, and needless to say, I sound like dang dump truck backing up all day! It will display less than 2' of water when I know I am in 10' or better. Often times I am guessing how deep I am because I know the reading is off.....but I've already bent one prop this summer.....nervous!

HOW DO YOU CALIBRATE THESE THINGS??????

I'm assuming you have a Faria Pilot gauge considering the year/model of your boat......

Do you have the gauge manual? If not, you can get a copy under the "Downloads" section. The manual tells you how to set the alarm depth and adjust the readings.

No I do not have the Faria Pilot......Humminbird. How do you set those guys???
