Welcome to the site!! No worries on the ballast. Get with Chpthril and he can set you up with everything you need. You have a great boat there, and it can be easily set up to put out a great wave. Search some of the Surfdad threads, he had a 23V. You will love surfing. As far as the racks are concerned they have positives and negatives. Had to replace my tower with a Samson and am still getting used to the forks sticking out the side. They are real rope catchers out there vs the top mounted racks. Good luck with the new ride.

laserfish - Thanks for the advice, I started clicking through some of Surfdad's threads and he had some awesome pictures surfing... I'd like to find someone next year that has a ballast system and at least try surfing before I invest in a ballast system... although I keep hearing that everyone loves it... The only main reason I do not like the top mounted racks is because if you get out of the water and want to put them back on the rack, they drip all over everyone and gets annoying. I did not think about the rope catching though, that's a good point.

oh ok low 70's. that's pretty rough on the girl I know. I guess it's what your used to. Monday we went out in 57 degree water..and yesterday it was a toasty 58.4. There was no complainin' though cause we were SURFING. The highest it hit this summer was 68..smokin hot and nobody wore any neoprenemy midlife crisis started at puberty and I plan on enjoying it all the way to the end..

I KID, I KID.... My wife's family lives in Kentucky, and I am from Dayton Ohio. So it's natural for me to poke fun.
However, here is an interesting fact about Kentucky:
It is illegal to fish with a bow and arrow in Kentucky.
