2002 Tige 23V - New to the site

    Hey guys,

I recently purchased a 2002 Tige 2300V and before this boat I just had a pontoon boat. I am learning everyday when it comes to the boat. I wanted to post a few pictures and get any advice I could on recommendations for improvement and changes I could make. The items that I do not like currently are: the wakeboard rack and the color of the boat. I thought about eventually getting a wrap on it.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks,

    Matt

awesome boat man, and welcome. You should definitely do a wrap, I know a guy in your area that could design a sick wrap for you.

Very nice. I have an '01 21V, so it's very similar. I'd love the extra room a 23V has. Thought about a wrap myself, but they can be pretty expensive.

Have fun, congrats and welcome to the site!

What area are you in? When I was looking for mine late last year, I found one that looks just like yours in the Dallas area. I liked it a lot, but ended up finding a 2004 at the same time. Good luck with it, you will have a blast. I have bought multiple racks from Monster Towers - just search them and you can see their selection on their website.

I live in western Kentucky... But I bought the boat in MO. Have you made many modifications to yours?

Does anyone have any recommendations on a good bimini top I should get? It came with the factory one shown on the bottom picture, but I really do not like the look of it...

Is this the only model/year they had 2 swivel seats?

I'm not sure if it was the only year or not, but I think it has the double captain chairs because it is the Limited edition and not the Rider's edition.

                        haha nice...

Does anyone know where I could get Perfect Pass for this boat for a good price? Is watching for a used one eBay the best way?

Snow56 - I like the color scheme you have on your boat. It's a classy combo.

I had a 2006 Larson with the similar color scheme before moving to my current Tige.

Now about the racks..... I haven't really read all of the responses, but you can relocate them to the sides of your tower. Also, you can add new ones that swivel (DIYWAKE.com).

                          Nice ride!

                            damn funny

welcome to the TIGE club. The smartest boat forum on the web.

Are you a surfer or a 'wakeboarder'?
my midlife crisis started at puberty and I plan on enjoying it all the way to the end..

Hyphen79 - Thanks for the info. I will likely keep the current color for a while because after researching the wraps they are way out of my price range. I think if I do some polish work and make the exterior look a little cleaner, I will like it more. The racks on the tower did not seem like they could just be relocated easily to the side. Would I have to buy some type of bracket? I like the link you posted, I will probably just try to save up and get something like that.

MooseX - Currently I just know how to wakeboard, I have never tried to surf, but I am open to trying it. This boat currently does not have a ballast system, so until I add that I will not be able to surf behind it. Do you think it would be worth adding it? I am nervous to add aftermarket ballast sacks with the fear of them leaking or having other pump related problems, what are your thoughts?
