Wire under dash

I recently purchased a 2006 22v. I was looking under the instrument panel and saw a loose wire with what appeared to be a telephone connector end. Does anyone know what this is? All I have are a bunch of moldy manuals with the pages stuck together. Of no use to me.

Only thing I have ever seen that would use that cable is a bass boost control. It is part of the amp and controls the output to the sub. It would have gone to a little knob that was mounted right below the steering wheel.

I bet yur right, thats the only thing I can think of as well.

Thanks for your responses. I think you are right on with the stereo wiring. I located a small controller (unattached) in the boat. The wire plugged into it and it did just what you said. Thanks
