Just got an '06 20v but it has a cracked heater core. I have the factory ballast system in it so it's a real pain to get to. WHAT'S THE EASIEST WAY? I don't see one. Removing the ballast tank seems to be a huge pain due to all the hose fittings and pump that will have to be removed to get to the heater coil. The other option I see is removing the bow seat but I can only see how to get it partially off, not fully removed to get access to the front of the heater coil. I tried to just pull off the access panel to the core and slide it out but I can't get it down far enough to get it all the way out? HELP!!

Can you post a pic of it? The seats should just have nuts that you remove and pull the cushion off. Feel around for the bolt sticking out and see if you can get a box end wrench on it. -
I can later. I can get to the the back bolts and screws but not the sides. The 20v seats are all one piece.Comment

Thanks all. I looked again and someone else tried the same thing but when the did, they stripped the head of the screw near the corner of the seat. Not cool. After wrestling with it for a while, I got the core out. Split in 4 places. Now I have to find a replacement. The local Tige dealer says they are back ordered!Comment

Do a search on here and you might be able to find one at the local Napa or other auto parts store. I think mine was from a 70's Ford pickup and was just a little over $20.Comment

I saw those posts, but from what I can tell they aren't the same that I have. Those are the two vent cores, not the 3 vent cores. I found a match on a 1/2 dozon or so web sites. The best was $90 plus ship on JMSonline Marine Supply. Heater Craft number HET-H301 for those of you with the same issue in the future. I even tried thumbing through the hundreds listed on the Napa website but no match.Comment

Check Wakeworld.com too. I think even the 3 vent cores match up to a truck/car/suv or very close for 1/3 of the price. If you just want to ride for now, by a barbed fitting and put the 2 hoses together and clamp the ends and you will be good to go until your core arrives.Comment
