tower question

i have a 99 21v and the tower has a crack around it and i was just going to replace it. will another tower such as monster us the same mounting locations so i wont be making new holes in my boat?

From what has been discussed on this, with Monster you can only use the front holes. Some have put a pop up cleat in the rear leg position. The only one I know of that you can use both front and rear positions is Samson. I just installed a Samson Razor on mine this spring and love it. Fit was excellent.

i love the Razor tower but the price is way up there. i know most of the time you get what you pay for so may end up there..

insane04 - If you search around there is a video of samson showing how much play a monster tower gives after awhile. It could be a marketing thing, but it makes you think about quality of the monster towers. Most of the guys on here have a lot of good things to say about the samson towers.

I installed a Joystick tower on my last boat and was 110% happy with it. Great product, great service, totally silent, nice looking, and uses standard 2.5 tubing so you can get accessories anywhere from anyone.

Here is a pic with the Razor tower. Not real good, but it does make the boat look much newer and works like a dream. Much better than the Metcraft. You can probably sell the Bimini if you have one, I sold mine to a fellow Tigeowner. I will be selling my old tower for scrap.

What color is your bimini and how much are you looking for? I've got a 98 2200i but it has a newer Metcraft Tower. I'm not sure what year it is but its the one that has the built in racks on top. Anyone know if the bimini would fit it? I can be reached at
