    Replacement Prop 08' 20v

Hey guys! So, a family member driving the boat got a bit into the shallow end and ended up tearing up the prop a bit. Seems I need a new sheer pin, as well as a prop.

    What are your recommendations?

Stock, 2008 20V. I do have 800lb's of ballast in use *at times*

    Much appreciated!

Sorry to hear about the prop. After you get a new one, can this one be repaired to be a spare?

Also, interested to see what everyone recommends. I have the year and make that you do.

You may want to contact acme, but I believe the upgrade would be an acme 1235.

1235 is a great prop but you will drop some top end speed if that's important to you.

Where you happy with the prop performance before? For an occasional 800# of ballast, I consider sticking with the 537.

I just posted the same question about my '06 24V.

I would suggest to contact Acme with all your info and they will get back to you. I just received a couple of emails today from them with great information, and have helped me with a couple of different props for my application.

Further... here is Acmes reply BASED ON MY BOAT SET-UP

The first step down would be the Acme 537-13.5 LH 16 4 bld 1 1/8" bore .105 cup. This prop sells for $529. The 537 will give you a much stronger hole shot & holding power. The second step down would be the Acme 1631-13.5 LH 14.25 4 bld 1 1/8" bore .150 cup. This prop will give even a stronger hole shot. It all depends on what your main usage is going to be. If it is all wake board & wake surf the 1631 is the prop for you.

After adding the weight it seemed just a tad sluggish, but nothing I can't live with. I'm getting my info onward to Acme!

                  Thanks again guys!
