Strut and shaft are bent:( need help

Does anyone know the make and model for both the strut and the prop shaft for a 2005 Tige 24v? Mine are bent from the previous owner strikes

The strut will have a tige number on it dealer item but the shaft can be ordered through henry h. smith in michigan with exact dimesions from tip to tip. Call them to find out what they exactly need and go from there.

Well honestly the boat never was very smooth. I guess I just forgot what a real silky smooth boat feels like. The stupid shaft takes up to 3 weeks to get which is just about the end of my real season. So i will just do the strut and then maybe the shaft next spring. Anyway to straighten one?

Yes but you'll have to send it to a shop to do. The factory tolerance on shaft straightness is .003" or less. If you just change the strut, you're asking for more trouble both short and long term and you will probably make the vibration worse. Call Henry H. Smith at 1-800-338-8900 and talk to them.

The local machine shop is testing the shaft. They also think they can straighten the strut. They have some digital technology and he truly thinks he can get it perfect. My somewhat local dealer said it should work. Any reason it wouldn't? I hope the shaft is still straight. Gosh it rolls flawlessly on my table.

That's a tough one man. Although, you're getting closer to having an all new boat.

It only has 125 hours now It's new. Gonna use the shame shaft. Machine shop says it's as straight as they can see it to be. Going with the OJ strut bearing. It makes the boat so freaking smooth!
