2005 24V vent question

My wife and kids are at the Lake w/o me. Besides missing out on the fun, I'm not there to help out with an issue. Somehow a wet wipe was put down the square vent in between the console and windshield. Is this a fresh air vent for the engine bay or for the heater system? Since I am not there to assess the situation and mess around with the vent hose, is this anything to be concerned about until I can get there? Is there an easy way to access the hose so they can remove the wet wipe? They will be using the boat tomorrow.

Not a big deal real easy to fix
