    Another transmission light question

I was hoping someone might have some comments on my transmission light.
It's on at idle, then goes out when first accelerating (as normal). After about 20 seconds, the light comes back on. It will stay on until I slow down to an idle, then accelerate again. I checked both the tranny fluid and v-drive fluid and they seem to be full - although I did check them when they were cold.
Has anyone ever seen this? Do you think it's just a bad pressure switch or connection, or is there something going on with the v-drive? Would appreciate any advice. I don't want to burn something up.
    Thanks.

We have had a few of the presure switch go out. They are more likely to go out if the bilge area is always wet.

Sorry to hear of your problem. My light is on at idle then off until I return to idle. Have you called Tige in Mesa? Kevin in the service dept. can give you troubleshooting help on just about anything.
Haven't seen you guys lately at Roosevelt. Any trips planned? Good luck with your light and call Kevin. M

Thanks Martin. Nice to hear from you.
My light worked normally until the end of the last day at Lake Powell. I haven't had a chance to call Kevin yet.
We've only been back to Roosevelt once since Memorial weekend. We've been doing mostly day trips to Canyon and Saguaro. We'll probably see you out there in a few weeks. Take care. Scott

          Tranny light on....

I got a bunch of water in the boat during a hurricane 2 years ago, over a foot in the bilges, which covered the trans.
I learned that such a situation will allow water to get in the trans thru the vent hole on top.
My trans oil got all milky looking, like a strawberry shake.....
I changed it but the first time out, my trans lite was funky, always on some, then always off, eratic......
After another trans oil change, it cleared up and has never been a problem. I'm thinkin some water got in the Pressure Switch bellows and took a while to get it out.....

            two questions on the tranny

First...can TOO much tranny fluid keep the light on? Second...where is this presure switch located??

The light is not for the transmission but for the v-drive. You will find the switch located on the v-drive and it will have two wires attached to it.
