What Prop is everyone using??
I have a 99 2100v, had it since 2002 and put about 80-100 hours per year on it. The river is very low here right now, and a few weeks ago I banged my prop (first time in 10+years of boatin on the Susquehanna)
My main prop is a 13*13 OJ 4 blade bronze. It was not horrible, just 1 blade rolled over about an inch.
Anyway, I had a slightly ratty spare, that was a 13*13 1/2 4 blade OJ, and put it on while the other got fixed.
We did not see much diference with the small increase in pitch, but had a bit more vibration tham normal, which I attributed to the small dents and dings in the spare.
When I got my main prop back, the vibration was better but still noticable, especially around 32-34 MPH.
I am thinking about getting the spare fixed up and seeing what I have with it, and if I still have vibration, maybe the shaft is bent.....
I can spin the prop by hand and can see no movement in either the end of the prop shaft or the center, between the strut and the packing, but aI am unsure how much bend it takes to make a vibration.
So... what props are all of you guys using on the 2100V ?? We do 75% wake board and 25% ski and tubeing....
If anyone is interested, I have an Atlantic Tower Air Tower 2 and it works great on the Tige.
