TAPS PROBLEM MOVES ON ITS OWN

OK WITH THE KEY OFF MY WAKE PLATE MOVES IF I PUT IT ALL THE WAY DOWN IT SLOWLY OVER 30 OR 40 MINS MOVES BACK UP. I DONT THINK THIS IS RIGHT CAUSE A COUPLE OF TIGE AT MY MARINA HAVE THERES DOWN AND THEY STAY DOWN. I CAN ACTUALLY HEAR THE ELETRIC MOTOR WORKING ITS LIKE IT HAS A SHORT BUT I NEED HELP. 2005 22V

This is normal for that year. The TAPS plate was designed to return to the "Wake" position when the key is turned off. If you do a search within the forum, there are some instructions on what wire needs to be cut or moved, that will stop this.

Thanks for posting this! My '03 resets to the wakeboard setting every time I turn the key off, which gets old after a while when we wakesurf. Once we dial in the wake, it would be nice to keep the taps fixed. Finding a suitable +12V for the orange wire to tap into shouldn't be a problem since I switch the main power off after each use anyhow.
