    2004 Switch V - Taps

Gentlemen, I need some help and this is the place to come. My taps seems to have quit moving up and down. It has done this before three years ago but it somehow corrected itself. Now it will not move at all. The shows it trying to move but it doenst move.

    Easy fix or not?

Thanks in advance for your input and help!

I have a 2000 2300v, when mine quite it was a broken wire in the throttle/shifter. The taps would work off and on till the wire totally seperated. it was a easy fix. Remove the handle with a allen wrench and the toggle switch is accesible. The wire on mine was broke where the wire passes through by the splined shaft of the throttle control. Hope this helps.

my handle has one allen bolt and when I try to take it off it only spins one way and I am afraid of breaking the entire wire off. Is is suppose to spin off or pull up. To be clear I am talking about the top of the handle by the taps toggle button.

How is your project coming? I had the same thing in my 04 20V and it was actually the taps ram/actuator that went bad. I found on online, and replaced it myself. Let us know how things are going?

I had the same issue and was able to get the motor to work agin after taking the actuator apart.
