    I understand that they are also for handling / cornering. They serve to keep the tail from washing out in a turn. Not sure if they work.. or are even necessary on slow boats like ours.

        Before someone cuts them out or in some way modifies them, let me just say that some of the cleanest and nicest shaped surf wakes ive seen have been from DD's with ski hulls. Point is, its hard to say if the something like the chines do or do not hinder the wake. With the spray pockets, it has been proven that they do hurt the wake-board wake.

          The best surfers in the world don't go through the trouble you are going through for a perfect wake.

          Props to you for experimenting and modifying hull shapes. But it's not worth it in my opinion. Just sayin'

            Yeah I don't know if I have the b*lls to do it. Just a thought. I wish I lived closer to the ocean!
