I notice the these on my boat and I don't get the purpose of them. No other boat manufacture has them and I think they are the cause of some of the wash that the tige's wave has. I seen stuff like this on IO's and other non wakeboard boats. I'm sure this would void my hull warranty but I wonder how much better the wave would be without. I think the idea is like a fin on a surfboard. Keeps it tracking straight?

The turn down edges create lift as the water flows towards the back and should assist in going on plane and maintaining hull attitude, the second hull picture is a narrowed tail which is from the slalomn ski boat days , the ideal slalomn wake is low and narrow so a canue hull was the perfect shape so the ski boat companys begain to narrow the tails , next Tige added pockets just in front of the cut in which controls the spray so the skier could see the next buoy.
