2006 24VE tower issues

I have the same tower on my boat, and it WAS as solid a rock. I took the tower off to work on the speakers and when I put it back on the boat it wobbles. I did the "tighten all the bolts and set screws" thing and it hasn't been the samme as before I took the tower off.

Dave, could the added weight of the 6 speakers be some of the cause? I know mine is less stable since the addition of speakers.

Mine had nuts on the back... not threaded plate.

I think you may be right, but pre speakers it was solid and I mean solid. I was wondering if tightening the bolts and the screws in a specific order may have somehting to do with it. If the 4 gunnel bolts were to be tightened first maybe just maybe the whole configuration wouldnt allow the rest of the bolts to be tightened down 100%.


I was going to loosen the 4 main tower bolts, do all others and then go back to the 4 gunnel bolts. Not sure it this makes sense but might as well try it.
