1999 21V RIDERS EDITION oppinion

I was wondering if I could get some input from some current Tige owners.

We are looking at purchasing a 1999 21v Riders edition. 425 hours on it and this boat is still in immaculate condition. Great owner, took excellent care of his boat. Not a scratch on the interior or the hull. Comes with (2) 450# fat sacs, Pioneer deck with fosgate sub and amp, bimini top, The owner is throwing in couple of towables, ropes, and other miscellaneous items. He is asking 21,000 but everything I am reading online and with NADA it is only looking like it is worth between 18 -20k. Does this sound like a good deal?

Looks clean, does the owner have service records? Not original graphics. Original tower, look it over well, they have a tendency to crack at the lap joints on the top. The boat itself is built like a tank. Very solid and stable. Puts out a great board wake and surf wake. Comfortable and safe to ride and drive. Looks to still have the original JVC cabin speakers but no tower speakers. Look around for comparitive boats to get a feel for the price as the geographic area has a lot to do with price. Also, do a search on the forum as this model boat comes up frequently for purchase opinions. Good luck.

Is it for sale by owner or Idaho water sports? The reason I ask is I was curious if it was just bought now being sold again.

When you figured out NADA did you figure the trailer separate or does NADA state that the trailer is included. The other factor is if you are not willing to travel then you have to see what others are going for in your area.

If you are interested in us helping you find other boats you might tell what you plan on doing with the boat. What is your location?

If you look on ksl.com then go to classifieds you will find several Tige's along with other brands in Utah and Idaho and sometimes other states.

Looks nice, same color combo as mine. My interior is cracking on the inside edges ( where the cushions touch each other) so it would not show up in pictures.

Thanks to all of you for your responses, I really appreciate the input. I am new to the Vdrive/ Direct Drive boats, have only owned a stern drive bayliner and my family and I are ready to move up to a better wake, with room for more people and try some surfing as well, so thanks again for your help!!!!

Owner is a 2nd owner of this boat and has all service records since they have owned it (about 6 years) and I feel comfortable about this seller. Funny that you mention the OG graphics, this owner had the graphics custom made to match all of the colors from the interior. I will take a closer look at the tower, thanks for the tip!!! Boat was listed at Idaho Water Sports but has been pulled off from their lot and I am dealing with the owner. Funny you mentioned the other post as it does sound like the same situation, but I am pretty sure it isn't. And thanks for reminding me of the value of the trailer, whoops didn't think about that one :0

I have been looking hard for the last month in all surrounding states (OR, WA, NV, UT and of course ID) It really came down to there are only a couple of Vdrive boats around my area in our price range, this boat and a 2003 Calabria ProV (which has less hours but is in pretty rough condition for a couple of grand more).

After reading your comments and all the other comments on this site about all the 21V Tige owners who are completely happy with their boats I think that I am leaning towards that Tige'. Thanks and if this deal goes through I will be posting many more questions, I am certainly glad I found this site full of great info!!!!!!

Probably no stereo, PP, ballast, etc. Looks stock but in good condition to me. All that could be added, like we all did.

Bought a 2001 21v riders edition for $23k 2 years ago in California and brought it back here to Tucson,az. It is in great shape, plenty of factory upgrades, perfect pass, killer stereo phat budie tower, 3 sacs and a non stretch rope since the po ran mine over during a test ride on the Kneeboard. Probably could have talked the guy down but felt it was a great deal. It had 590 hours then and now has over 700 all we have had to do is basic maintenance. Has a great wake in stock form but our ballast system has trippled the quality of the wake. These boats like weight in the front for a nice firm wake. Great surf wake, incredible Kneeboard wake, and we don't do much serious wakeboarding. Ours had a reduced v drive so we added an acme 4 blade (1235 I think) and it has done wonders for fuel consumption and transfered power. Next upgrade is a fresh air exhaust and upgrade tower speakers. Get it you'll love it.

I paid 20500 for my 1999 V-Riders 2 years ago including trailer, bought in MO. Came with good options 2 300# phat sacs, tower speakers, sub, amps, perfect pass, and a couple throw ins like wakeskate and ski. Good wakeboard wake and works for wakesurf. First boat I got with perfect pass and will never have one without it now.
