Lots of peeps have done the FAE, including myself. Although I was very pleased with the redirection of the dangerous Co fumes, I was more impressed the engine noise reduction. It was nice to have a conversation with others in the boat while under way without having to scream! You could even talk to your surfer.
It's an upgrade that is well worth it.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I have posted on this subject on several other threads. But X2 (chpthrl). You will not regret installing it. It takes realistically about 3-4 hours to install. All you need is a drill, correct size bit, couple of wrenches, screw driver, just a little marine sealant, and a saw to cut bolts with. It is really easy. If you have quetions about it you can talk to the DOC (the guy that invented it) or let me know and I can probably answer questions abou it. But as said above, many have installed it and you won't regret it.
You can go on the FAE website and listen to the reduction in noise or search you tube for FAE and I have posted two vids trying to show the same noise reduction. I will say this, the vids really don't do the noise reduction justice. I tried but it is the best I can do with the camera I was using. If there was a way to just hear the exhaust noise and not all the water/wind noise I think it would be much better.
But if you actually are hearing the difference (in the boat) you will be able to tell the difference quite easily.
The first thing I did when I bought our boat the same day was put on the FAE. Besides Perfect Pass, it is the best thing to have on your boat...well besides a bunch of hot babes and friends but that goes without saying.

All the SS ones I have seen still look great. It's my only regret on the purchase -- the noise and fume reduction is well worth it. (Only potential downside is a slight rooster tail, but I think you can control that some with the angle of the downspout).

Absolute must have. I've had mine on for a long time. Most of the powder coat is gone on the downspout but oh well. Polished wasn't an option back then. I still love it and would never own a boat without one. Best thing I've ever done to the boat. When my buddy bough his Tige, his wife absolutely insisted on putting one on after being on our boat for years and then being on theirs without the FAE. I think they took it out maybe 4 or 5 times before they couldn't take it anymore. Once you have one, every boat you go on that doesn't have one, sucks. You'll end up like the rest of us, preaching the way of the FAE.You'll get your chance, smart guy.
