    slalom skiing with rz2

any body skiing behind an rz2? looking to upgrade from a pre2150 to a rz2 butt still want to do a little skiing

I ski behind our 22Ve which is the same hull below the water line. Wakes smooths out at 30+ with the Taps at 1 or 2. Its not comp level smooth back there but, definitely doable for the recreational free rider.

We ski behind our RZ2. Like Guma said the faster the better. My 8 year old nephew skis @ 20 mph and the wake is big. Due to the speed of the boat at a wakeboarder speed. My wife slaloms @ 25 mph and the wake is still big for a wakeboarder. I ski at 34 mph and it is smoother but no means pro smooth. I just know that I need to apply the breaks right before the wake absorb the bump with the knees and carve out hard. Then do it all over again when heading back.
The RZ2 is a great boat. Lost of storage and with in minutes we can have a huge surfing wake to a okay slalom wake to a fantastic wakeboard wake.

Check out my boat wakes post in the slalom section. My 22v has good slalom wake and esp when I have the ski on an edge it cut right through. Not the smallest but it is pretty soft. I mostly ski at 34 mph.

over 22' off and 34+ mph and it's still pretty good.
