    Weighting a 2006 24V

How do you 24V owners weight your boat? I'm trying to figure out what size/style of fat sacs to throw in the v-drive compartments.

We recently loaded about 1,200# in the rear surf-side locker (including a 650# bag that went forward and under the seat some) and put a 450# bag on the rear seat towards the surf side. We had 2-3 adults on that side as well, including one sitting on the bag at times.

    I pulled b/w 10.7 and 11.0 mph with Taps b/w 1 and 4-5, depending on the rider.

I thought it was a really good wake. Only thing I might do next time is experiment with some with weight up front to see if it would give me a longer pocket.

The great thing about the 24V is the size of those rear lockers -- you can get a LOT of ballast in there.

The locker is only around 30" long with an open space extending under the seats. I was thinking of Fat Sac "MasterCraft X-2 Rear Sac". Its 32x18x20 for 440 lbs.

Other option is the "Enzo Sac" by Fat Sacs for 1400lbs?

I hate sacs taking up floor space! May just may to custom order??

I've heard chpthril (on this site) has good custom sacs. You should contact/PM him.

I was/am also thinking about the Enzo sac -- lots easier than filling/draining multiple sacs.

We picked up a 650# fat sac that sits in the back locker and slides up under the seat some. We stacked a 450# sac on top of that and finished off the locker with two 150# fat sac "bricks" that were about 1/2 to 3/4 full. Fills out the locker, but it's a hassle to fill and drain all those sacs. One custom or Enzo would be nice. Better yet, get two, and you can pump from one right to the other when you want to switch sides.

I will eventually want a semi auto fill and auto empty. Easier is always good.

Yes, we spend lots of time filling/emptying while others watch enjoying their drinks. Would love to get an automatic system.

The W712 Enzo is the ideal sac for the 24Ve. It will give the most out-o-sight water ballast you can get.

From a Lb's V's $$$ standpoint, the W719 Jumbo Surf sac may be a better choice then the W714 X-2 sac.

The 719 is 50" long and the compartment is only around 30 or 32. How well will that fit?

It will just mold it's way around as it fills. It will not fill to it's full capacity, but should give you a good 900 lbs. So for about the same money, you will get about 2X the surf ballast.

Being 50" would you extend the bag under the side seat and just fill as much as possible?
