engine hatch/rear storage gas shocks

hi all

my tige doesnt have the gas shocks that support the rear engine lid and storage hatches on the rear, where would i be able to get these as i dont want the hinges to snap off

just search gas springs on the internet. SPD is where I got mine. If you don't have a set to get the number off of your going to probably need to contact the dealer to get the proper length and pressure? Maybe the people at the spring place would be able to get what you need? I ordered some that were too stiff, having to change them. There like $15 each.

you will need to know length when extended and length when compressed as well as the pounds of lift. you can find the black ones cheap but if you want the stainless ones its going to cost ya. I just replaced all of my black ones with the SS ones along with the brackets and it was pricey.It looks good though . Mine were very rusty and I had it all apart redoing the interior so I could not see putting those rusty crapy ones back on.

What boat do you have?
Our 2000 21V came with the following gas springs with end style EF-PS30B1:
engine cover - SPD-GS-6984 (SPD-GSNI-5150-60), 15” x 9” x 6”, 6mm x 15mm
storage lockers - SPD-GSNI-5250-60, 18.5" x 11" x 7.5”, 6mm x 15mm
dash compartment - SPD-GSNI-5200-40, 17” x 10” x 7”, 6mm x 15mm
The original no.s from the springs are GS and are now GSNI for the new black nitride shaft series.

The engine cover gas spring was a Tige custom ordered version, but the 5150-60 is close.
The mounting brackets are extra.

I have a set for sale brand new, only used for a couple weeks till I determined they are too stiff.

1998 Tige gas springs

Does anyone know the part number for the gas shock supports that hold the rear sundeck on a 1998 Pre2050? I just bought the boat and the shocks are missing. Thanks
