Had a no start condition this past weekend. Turn the batteries on, power everywhere, two beeps and turn the key power everywhere and nothing from the starter...quiet as a mouse. Hmmm...ended up using jumper cables hooked up to one battery and the other end to the starter and grounded to the block....once we found a good ground the boat fired up and ran great all day. Turned it off before loading it on the trailer and then tried to start it again before pulling it out of the water and she fired right up. So my question is...one off deal or is the starter about ready to give up the ghost. Haven't had a single issue starting it all season...turn the key and it fires immediately. If it is the starter...how in the heck do you get to the two bolts on the underside of the starter to get it off? Mercruiser 350 MAG MPI SL#0L300094. Also how do you get the black cover between the engine and the ski nylon off...I believe there is another starting solenoid in there but can't seem to get the cover as the ski nylon seems to be preventing it. Do you have to remove the pylon? Thanks
